Principle of permanent magnet motors:
A permanent magnet motor is a device that utilizes permanent
magnets to generate a magnetic field for motor rotation. It
consists of a stator and a rotor. A coil on the stator is energized
with electric current to produce a rotating magnetic field. The
permanent magnets on the rotor, in turn, are attracted to the
rotating magnetic field and follow it. By constantly changing the
direction of the current in the stator coil, a continuous rotary
motion can be produced in the rotor. Permanent magnet motors are
characterized by high efficiency, high power density, and fast
response.
